Children will use a senses sheet to generate adjectives for a setting description of the Isle of Blowyernose. We will use these to write paragraphs describing the island. For children on the Read Write Inc scheme it is best to 1. Think of a sentence 2. Count the words in your sentences 3. Sound out the words you cannot spell. For children who have completed the RWI scheme we would expect to see at least 2 paragraphs with a range of sentence openers and some lists of adjectives.
Ideas to get you started on your ‘Ruckus’ story
Another thought provoking message from Rev Barne and another great song to learn.
This term our Value is Peace. As we can't sing and pray together as we usually do, Rev Hugh Barne has kindly offered to send us a video message each week instead. I especially liked the song on this video as well as the message and will be practising it for next term!
A short poem to tell you about the things we are doing at school to keep you safe. I enjoyed writing this poem for you but I think my video skills need a little practise!
Sending lots of love from Mrs Ireton & Mrs Glasby
